Enjoy The Beauty of Tuscany Italy

Every time I write about Tuscany Italy, my heart and my full body in fact experiences an intense sense of quietness. I know exactly that this feeling comes from the relaxed atmosphere that this part of Italy near Florence offloads. I have found an ideal balance of enjoying the entrancing town of Florence and its cultural activities at the same time I refurbish energy by either doing a farm holiday or staying in a luxury villa in the countryside of Tuscany.

Wallow in luxuriousness in Tuscany Italy

The words ‘luxury’ and ‘farm’ might frighten you away, firstly because everyone associates luxury with expensive and farm with tiny comfort. Let me tell you of some fantastic places where I have been and you’ll see how this is far more enjoyable than staying at a hotel in the city centre.

The Fattoria il Lago cottage is located about 40 kilometres north-east of Florence, just outside the tiny city of Dicomano, hidden away in the olive tree covered Tuscan hillsides. The intensive property houses three areas which are referred to as villages, each having residence accommodations and an entirely different landscape to admire. The main lodging building is called La Villa and has a pleasurable view of the Dicomano Valley. Just a short walk away you find Lago village with its corresponding pool accompanied by a pretty garden. The 3rd area is the most quaint sleeping quarters called Macerato, embedded among all the hues of green possible. This type of vacation rental is as comfortable and reposeful as the posh villas, only that you are sharing a common ground with other travellers. When you get your Tuscany car rental, you should ask for a good map and maybe even ask them if they can give more explicit directions towards Dicomano being as the farmhouse is located off other country roads. Sometimes any vacation home in Tuscany offers the option of giving full directions when booking and also being picked up at nearby train or bus stations. You just have to let them know beforehand.

The 11th c. Medieval monastery of San Lorenzo a Linari in Sovicille, south of Siena is an example of those vacation rental places in Tuscany where you can have it all and still have your own breathing space, having your freedom from stress. This magnificent lodging is individual apartments tempting you with Tuscany tours such as viewing the hillside and mountains seated in a four-wheel drive car, horse-back riding or an aerial view from a hot-air balloon. And if you do not want to miss out on the beautiful beaches, there are excursions to the Mediterranean shore, too.

Staying in Tuscany in the Chiantii area in the luxury villa estate called Villa de Dievole near the old city of Vagliali. As all villas used to be part of to the Italian noble class, the exclusiveness and privacy is incomparable. The decoration in numerous has been respected in the restoration process, so you’re living among many centuries of history. This 16th century villa has rooms and suites with a personal guesthouse, too.

Without overtaxing one’s strength, your Tuscany Italy vacation tours can be choked full of emotions and peacefulness.

Canadian Tourism Promotion Video Shot In The UK

A promotional video that shows a couple of kids playing on a beach next to some open water in Canada has been found to be a fake which was in fact shot in the UK.

This footage was in fact part of a larger tourism promotion production that was costing the Alberta tourist board around $30m. It was intended to show the best features of the Alberta province in Canada and increase levels of Canada holidays in the region. However, when keen sailor Peter Bailey investigated the location as a possible site for spending time on his boat, he found out all was not as it seemed. His initial thoughts were that the beach was on the edge of one of Canada’s vast lakes but a North Sea coast in England turned out to be nearer the truth. Knowing that Alberta was landlocked and its centre was around 400 miles from the nearest coast, Bailey took the matter further.
When Peter approached the Northumberland Tourist Board they instantly saw the funny side of the matter. ” we think its rather funny - Canada trying to sell its landlocked provinces as coastal resorts” stated Sheelagh Caygill. Most people in Northumberland as well are more honoured than upset. Saying that it’s great that Canada views this part of the world beautiful enough to use as their own.

A more defence position was taken by the government in Ottawa when Bailey took his discovery to them. It was used by us simply to “symbolise the fact Albertans are a worldly people” stated a spokesman.Tom Olson who looks after media relations for the Prime Minister suggested “There’s no attempt to mislead here. The video was used by us just as an aid to the mood and feel of the marketing material.”

Spokesman have stated that although the English part of the film will remain, there is now a footer note included that credits the UK tourist board. It goes without saying that many are embarrassed about the revelation and just prey is blows over before long. Among other promotional works that Canada has recently released include one marketing Alaskan cruises so there will surely be people keeping an eagle eye out for passing flamingos in the Alaskan cruises video

Planning a family holiday this year? You may actually feel that you need a holiday just for the vacation itself!  Let’s face it – it’s not easy finding a destination that’s going to please the entire family, especially if you have young children in tow.  Apart from Disney World, where else can you take your children and guarantee that they’ll have the adventure of a lifetime?  And if you do find a location, what about you and your partner?  Will there be enough nightlife entertainment to keep the two of you entertained?

It’s time to put an end to the nightmare of planning a family vacation.  We’ve got the best tips and techniques on how to make sure that everyone in your clan – from the oldest member to the smallest child – has the vacation of a lifetime!

Make Getting There An Adventure. It’s the worse nightmare of every parent: a child who is cranky on a plane, train or in a car.You certainly don't want to hear your kid crying out loud - imagine what other passengers will think!  Yes, when it comes to having a kid-friendly luxury vacation, you’re going to need to distract your kids during the actual traveling part.  Take loads of distracting activities with you on the plane, like coloring books, mini-DVD players or storybooks.  Turn traveling into a game by asking your children to map out the destination that you’re taking.  If you get your kids involved in the planning, they’ll be less likely to throw a fit during that arduous flight or car ride.

Keep It A Secret. Plan out the vacation between yourself and your partner to a kid-friendly location, like Florida, the Caribbean, Mexico or Disney.  The night before your vacation starts, tell your kids to pack their bags for a week – and watch how excited and anxious they become!

Additional bonus: your kids will be so excited about the unknown destination, they’ll hardly complain on the flight or car ride – they’ll be too busy guessing where they’re headed!

On The Other Hand… If you don’t want to surprise your kids with a vacation, make sure they’re involved in the planning process.  Sit your kids down and ask them where they’d like to go for vacation this year.Curiosity and intrigue will always keep their minds preoccupied.  Once they’ve indicated what they’d like to do, go from there with the vacation planning.

Choose From An Impeccable Provider. There’s a hidden factor that can make or break a family vacation – your travel provider!  There are a ton of horror stories out there about families who were left stranded in the airport thanks to errors in bookings, or who didn’t have a hotel room thanks to a booking mistake.  Don’t let this happen to you in your quest for a luxury family vacation – make sure you use your Platinum Luxury Resort membership with a world-renowned luxury holiday club!

With a Platinum Luxury Resort membership, you’ll have unrestricted access to over 5,000 luxury family resort destinations around the world, without the hassle of blackout dates or restricted weeks – and with popular resorts such as Sheridan, Marriott and Hilton included in the network, you can guarantee that you’ll find the perfect resort where you can enjoy a luxurious getaway that the whole family will love.  Whether you want to go to Hawaii or Cabo in the peak season, Colorado in ski season, Arizona in golf season or take a Disney Cruise in any season, your membership offers you unrestricted access to all of these amazing adventures.

Better yet, you won’t have to pay for extra fees or hidden costs with your membership.  There’s no annual fee and no exchange rate, so if you feel like changing your vacation plans last minute, you won’t have to pay extra for the privilege.  Your membership will save you thousands of dollars for your vacation travel, no matter what – so that car rental, cruise or excursion package will be significantly reduced thanks to your Luxury Platinum Resort membership.  In fact, these lifetime memberships pay for themselves in only two or three vacations – now that’s a sound investment!

Touring The Isle Of Harris In The Western Isles Of Scotland

Sun bathing on the beach for all of my vacation has never been my my thing. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy a relaxing visit to a sunny beach, however, I also like to spend time visiting other places while on vacation. I really like to spend time just soaking in the atmosphere of the place, I like to sample the local food and culture. In truth each year I like to experience something new and I I spend a great deal of time attempting to find something or somewhere wholly different. This is the most likely reason why I enjoy visits to the Hebridean island named the Isle of Harris and why I regularly decide to stay in Harris self catering cottages.

Harris is a tiny island located off the west of Scotland. Harris is one of over 300 of little islands  commonly known as the Outer Hebrides, although to be 100% accurate the postal address is the Western Isles. Accepted as either the Western Isles or the Outer Hebrides the islands are immensely beautiful and amazingly unique. For those people who have to have some time spent relaxing on a beach with golden sand the island of Harris has plenty to choose from and all are spectacular and nearly always deserted. It sometimes seems around bend you are greeted with a truly awesome sight. The roads on Harris are drastically different to those experienced on the Scottish mainland in some areas you will need to traverse single track roads and you will need to know how to use passing places to allow traffic to pass safely from ahead and behind. Just keep it in mind that you come to a stop on the left. However, if the vehicle wishing to get past you is large and cumbersome and the passing place is to your right you can pull up into it to let the said vehicle pass easily but be careful not to drive off the edge of the road too much.

One of the main reasons people visit the Isle of Harris is to enjoy the islands culture and landscape. The culture of the Isle of Harris has, over a great many years been incredibly influenced by the Scottish, English, Celtic and Norse races. Today in general most people speak in the Gaelic language and though some speak English, it is often their 2nd language. The Harris folk are amongst the most friendly on the planet and their hospitality is known across the globe. The Harris folk are very proud of the breathtaking beauty of the island and go to some length to keep the island clean and tidy so it is immensely important not to leave any litter behind.

Dotted all along the south west coast of the Isle of Harris there are some of the most beautiful golden sandy beaches in the whole of Scotland, and many people say the United Kingdom of Great Britain. You will, most probably, notice how crystal clear the waters are and it is a fact that the Harris beaches are lovely and clean. Unfortunately there is no way to avoid debris washing up from ships in the Atlantic ocean but happily there isn’t a great deal.

If you are currently thinking of taking a short break Harris the why not think about staying in a self catering house on Harris please visit http://www.isleofharrisselfcateringhouse.co.uk/

Veliko Turnovo – Unique Holiday Experience in Bulgaria

Author:ady
11.08.2009

Veliko Turnovo is situated in central Bulgaria, at the foothills of the Balkan Mountains. It is spread over the historical hills of Tsarevets, Trapezitsa and Sveta Gora, towering over the wide curves of the Iantra river. The city is more than 7000 years old. Veliko Tarnovo impresses with its original renaissance architecture – antique houses, the unique Veliko Turnovo hotels, situated one above another, towers, splendid museums, and monasteries with icon-paintings that attract tourists from all over the world. Veliko Turnovo presents some of the most impressive remains of the Bulgarian history, many of which date back to its position as the capital of Bulgaria. The town also has some of the most attractive areas for nigh life, dining and people watching.

Veliko Turnovo (?????? ??????? ?????? in Bulgarian) has a rich historical past. According to archeological discoveries, life in that area seems to have began around 3 thousand years ago.c. The first inhabitants were the Thracians and their settlement existed until the end of the Bronze Age. The next inhabitants were the Byzantines. A big Slav settlement was situated here during the VIII a.c. The Old-Bulgarian settlement appeared during the IX c. and during the X c. the hills Tsarevets, Trapezitsa and Sveta Gora were already richly populated. The brothers Asen and Peter organized successfully a revolt against Byzantine rule in 1187 and declared Veliko Tarnovo the capital of Bulgaria. Turnovo became a well-fortified city and a significant political, administrative, economic and cultural center in Europe during the next 200 years. The contemporaries referred to it as the The Second Constantinople and The Third Rome.

The most important remnant of these times is the archaeological preserve Tsarevets, a restored fortress that surrounds the hill Tsarvets. Above all of the other buildings stands one of the symbols of the town - the tower where the Latin Emperor Baldwin was kept after the crusade in the early 12th century. The palace of the Bulgarian tsars was a self-contained fortress with the fabulous Throne Hall and the palace church St. Petka. One the highest position was located the main establishment of the Bulgarian Church. In recent years, the fortress has received further acclaim with a “Lights and Sound” show – a program that combines sound and light effects to reproduce the history of the old Bulgarian capital.

Cheap Family Vacations

Author:ady
11.08.2009

Prices for flights and hotel bookings vary a lot from one period of the year to another, and in this ultra fast moving world of traveling, learning the best tips brings maximum profit for businesses and rewarding alternatives for holiday makers. Cheap family vacations are often used as a marketing strategy to attract customers, and this competition does not remain within the boundaries of travel agencies, as it greatly influences the policies of hotels and touristic resorts too. Sometimes the prices increase without any apparent reason, but keep in mind that the higher the demand for a certain destination, the bigger the prices will get.

If the plane tickets are not chosen carefully, they could cost a fortune even if you think you are negotiating for cheap travel packages. Those tourists whoprefer direct routes should know that airfares vary according to some “rules” the common user remains a stranger to. Alternate routes and combinations of two flights are often cheaper than a direct one. Before taking an international flight, you should check whether you don’t pay less for getting a domestic one in the same direction, first. Some agencies take into consideration such elements when creating cheap travel packages, but others take the directest flight to the destination as a standard criterion.

Another way to keep the cheap family vacations cheap all the way is prepare for all aspects of the journey. Many restaurants in various parts of the world still take advantage of tourists without peoples realizing it, therefore, it is time tourists started focusing more on local food they could have during outings for example. This doesn’t mean that you’d have to cook while on holiday, but you should inquire about the best food in town and the fairest prices. For local specialties, costs are a lot smaller and the food is absolutely great!

Flexibility allows one to get really good deals on cheap travel packages. Let’s say that you want to go to South America. If you ask a travel agency for a holiday to Rio de Janeiro, you will most likely pay more than if you just expressed your wish of visiting Brazil. Some less known and little crowded resorts could offer you a lot more than a very popular but highly expensive one. Nevertheless, it all depends on what you want to visit and what money you are ready to pay for it. Plenty of details are widely available on the Internet and you can learn loads of useful things to help you maximize the money efficiency and the pleasure of the vacation.
