With the credit crunch affecting everyone people are now afraid of spending any money. There is no way in which people will even think about going abroad.

With the recent studies that show airlines can fold at any times people are scared of getting stranded abroad. I think that now could infact be the best time to grab a cheap all inclusive package and I will tell you why.

1) Offline travel agents are begging for custom, I basically went into one and the help desk lady stated if I find it cheaper on there website to come back and book it there. I stated what is the point of coming back and she said to help keep the shops in business. So basically in 2009 you can probably grab a much cheaper holiday than it was in 2008.

2) If you do decide to go abroad this year on a selection of any family holidays then I would definitely take advantage of it because the hotels abroad will probably be a lot less busy then they were in 2008 simply because everyone is staying put. You will end up getting a lot of benefits which include better food and drinks.

There financial downturn is not as bad as people make out, if you constantly look at the negatives of things it will make you go mad. Do not just listen to the constant negative views of the press as they like to publish negative stories a lot more than positive ones.
